Venison is becoming more and more popular as a lean, low-fat and healthy alternative.
Venison Steaks (Pack of 2)
SUPPLIED FROZEN (on occasions they may be supplied fresh)

Freeze on day of purchase – Store between -18°C to -25ºC.
Freezer shelf life is 4 months from purchase.
Defrost in refrigerator for 8-12 hours before cooking.
Once defrosted store between 0 – 5°C. Use within 24 hours.
Do NOT re-freeze once defrosted.
Heat a pan until smoking hot. Rub the Venison Steaks with olive oil and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Put the venison in the pan to sear for 2-3 minutes then turn the heat down to medium and griddle without moving for another 2-3 minutes. Turn over and cook for a further 3 minutes for rare. Cook for a further 2-3 minutes longer for medium rare.
Lift onto a plate, cover with foil and leave to rest for 10 minutes. This will redistribute the juices through the Venison, giving it an even colour and keeping it juicy. Serve with sauce of choice.
