Freeze on day of purchase – Store between -18°C to -25ºC.
Freezer shelf life is 4 months from purchase.
Defrost in refrigerator for 8-12 hours before cooking.
Once defrosted store between 0 – 5°C. Use within 24 hours.
Do NOT re-freeze once defrosted.
Cooking
From chilled:
Remove the steak from its packaging, season the steak with a pinch of salt and pepper. Allow the meat to come to room temperature for 20 minutes, patting dry with kitchen paper.
Heat a small amount of oil in a large frying pan. The steak is stuffed with it's sauce via a slit cut through the fat side of the sirloin so seal this slit first by holding the steak with cooking tongs and place in the hot frying pan (fat side facing down). This stops the sauce leaking out when cooking. Then cook your steak as normal to your liking following the recommended times.Rare: 1-2 minutes per side, rest for 4 minutes
Medium: 3 minutes per side, rest for 6 minutes
Well Done: 4-5 minutes per side, rest for 6 minuteRemove from the pan and leave to rest in a warm place for the recommended time.
