These steaks are very unique, and a ‘butterfly cut’ is used to leave a heart-shaped chop. These individual steaks are boneless, succulent and offer an interesting alternative to a standard pork chop.

SUITABLE FOR HOME FREEZING
Freeze on day of purchase – Store between -18°C to -25ºC.
Freezer shelf life is 4 months from purchase.
Defrost in refrigerator for 8-12 hours.
Once defrosted store between 0 – 5°C. Use within 24 hours.
Do NOT re-freeze once defrosted.
From chilled: Remove the pork valentine from its packaging, allow the meat to come to room temperature for 20 minutes, patting dry with kitchen paper.
Pan Fry: Heat a little oil in a frying pan. Cook pork valentine on a medium heat 10-12 minutes. Turn occasionally.
Grill: Pre-heat grill to medium. Place pork valentine on grill rack or oven tray for 12-14 minutes. Turn occasionally.
Oven: Pre-heat oven to 190ºC / Gas Mark 5. Place pork valentine on an oven tray and cook for 25-27 minutes. Turn once after 15 minutes.

If you have a temperature probe then use it to check pork valentines are above 71°C.
If 71°C is not reached then cook for further 3 mins and check temperature again. Repeat this process until 71°C is reached.
