This joint makes for a fantastic carving centrepiece and the leftovers make a great filling for sandwiches! The horseshoe joint is a versatile gammon perfect for roasting or slicing into thick gammon steaks and then cooking on the barbecue for a big gathering. This is a beautiful joint that is full of flavour and makes a real alternative to the usual roasts.

 

 

To enable us to guarantee your Easter requirements orders must be placed by Wednesday 8th of April.  Easter orders can be collected in store or delivered on Good Friday 10th of April or Saturday 11th of April

    Storage

    SUPPLIED FRESH

    SUITABLE FOR HOME FREEZING

    Freeze on day of purchase – Store between -18°C to -25ºC.

    Freezer shelf life is 1 months from purchase.

    Defrost in refrigerator for 8-12 hours before cooking.

    Once defrosted store between 0 – 5°C. Use within 24 hours.

    Do NOT re-freeze once defrosted.

     

    Cooking

    From chilled:

    Place joint into deep saucepan of cold water bring to the boil then discard water. This will ensure the product will not be salty. Fill back up with water and boil, cooking times may vary on size of joint.

    For an alternative flavour roast for last 45 mins of cooking time.

    Probing is recommended to ensure product is cooked through reaching 71°C minimum.

     

    **THESE COOKING INSTRUCTIONS ARE GUIDELINES ONLY**

    THIS PRODUCT MUST BE COOKED THOROUGHLY PRIOR TO CONSUMPTION

    If you have a temperature probe then use it to check gammon joint is above 71°C.

    If 71°C is not reached then cook for further 3 mins and check temperature again. Repeat this process until 71°C is reached
